Operate a school bus over designated routes to transport school children; assist in the routine maintenance of a school bus; perform related work as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must be over eighteen years of age (VC-12516). Selected applicants will be enrolled in district sponsored bus driver training class. In order to be hired as a Substitute Bus Driver, the applicant must be able to obtain appropriate California Driver's License issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, a current medical certificate, a current special certificate to drive a school bus and verification of first aid training for school bus drivers. Classroom and behind-the-wheel training provided by the District at no cost. (Outside testing fees from the DMV and CHP are not included). The next training class starts June 3, 2019 and ends on June 11, 2019. Class will be in session from 8:00 am - 12:30 pm.
