
PEER Coach for the MDUSD Teacher Induction and Support Program 2019 - 2020 - INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY at Mt. Diablo Unified

This position is only available to current employees of this school district. Applications submitted by job seekers not currently employed by the school district will not be considered.
Requirements / Qualifications
All internal applicants must apply online via Edjoin and submit a letter of interest/introduction online (as described below*), with the Edjoin application. Upon completion of the online Edjoin Application, the applicant will be emailed a PEER Coaching Program Folder in an attachment at the email address provided by the applicant in the Edjoin application. Please read the folder instructions carefully and complete your portion and follow the instructions for submission. Each applicant must provide a Recommendation Form to each of the following four recommenders: 1. one administrator, 2. one peer of choice, 3. a fellow professional whom you have coached or mentored, and 4. one MDEA faculty representative, The Recommendation Form will be in the PEER Coach Folder which will be emailed to you upon submission of your Edjoin application. Each of your recommenders will submit the completed recommendation form directly to Emily Lopez Frizzell in Human Resources by the deadline of Monday, April 15, 2019 at 4 p.m.
- Letter of Introduction (Letter of Interest/introduction must address the following: 1. Why you are seeking the position of PEER Coach, 2. Evidence which illustrates your leadership ability 3. What you see as issues facing new teachers and how you would support them, 4. Description of the relationship you feel should exist between you and a beginning teacher)

The MDUSD PEER Coaching Program is seeking qualified applicants to join a team of mentor teachers released full-time from the classroom to engage in the work of improving instruction for all students, while supporting teacher candidates in their work toward the goal of obtaining their clear credential.
THE MT. DIABLO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT is a K-12 school district located in Concord, California serving the educational needs of over 31,000 students, and an additional 10,000 adult students. The district covers over 150 square miles, including the cities of Concord, Pleasant Hill, Clayton; portions of Walnut Creek, Martinez, and unincorporated areas including Lafayette, Pacheco, Pittsburg, and Bay Point.
