Requirements / Qualifications

All documents must be submitted with your on-line application. Applicants must satisfy the paraprofessional requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA); applicants must hold a US high school diploma, or equivalent, and meet one of the three following requirements: 1) Completed 48 semester units at an institution of higher education; 2) Obtained an Associate's degree (or higher); 3) Successful completion of the ICOE Paraprofessional exam, previously administered by ICOE, in (4 parts) which include; basic reading, writing, mathematics skills and the ability to assist with instruction (essay). ALL APPLICANTS who hold a Foreign high school diploma or equivalent must automatically take the paraprofessional exam. The exam will be provided by ICOE to those who do not meet the criteria listed.
