***Please attach copies of permit(s) if applicable The purpose of this Eligibility List is to create a list of prospective candidates to hire all permanent full and part-time vacancies in the Early Care & Education Programs department with ICOE and hire on-call Substitutes. This list will be used to fill vacant Instructional Assistants in Head Start, State Preschool and Instructional Teacher Associates - Infant/Toddler in all the child care centers located throughout Imperial County, as well as to hire on-call Instructional Assistant substitutes to cover current staff absences. These positions require an ECE permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). Please refer to the attached job descriptions to determine permit required and review the CTC Child Development Permit link for permit requirements and instructions. All successful candidates will be interviewed for the purpose of ranking and establishing an eligibility list as well as to select on-call substitutes. Once a permanent position becomes vacant the names on the Eligibility List, in ranking order, will be provided to the department to conduct a selection interview. The department will then select a candidate to fill the vacancy. Candidates not selected will remain on the Eligibility List for future consideration. This Eligibility List will be effective until the list diminishes and closed. Applicants not recommended to fill permanent vacancies that are still interested must reapply to a new Eligibility List posting once created. All current substitutes that would like to be considered for a permanent vacancy in these classifications must apply to this posting.
