          Required Qualifications: • Previous coaching experience • Demonstrated knowledge of coaching theory and techniques, child psychology, rules and regulations, athletic injuries and emergency care • Coaching Certificates (Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussions and Sudden Cardiac Arrest) • Valid CPR/First Aid Certifications (Online classes NOT accepted) Preferred Qualifications: • California credential and head coaching experience • Teaching experience strongly encouraged as teaching positions may become available Expectations: • Oversee the operational components of the Football program such as finances, equipment, player development, practice schedule and game schedule • Maintain positive working relationships with school staff, parents and community members • Available after school hours through the conclusion of practice time and for extended period on weekends and game days • Required to attend all practices, team contest and year-round athletic meetings Candidates who meet the initial screening requirements may be required to take and pass a written performance assessment prior to being scheduled for an interview. Applications and supporting materials will be reviewed, evaluated, and considered for an interview. Meeting the minimum qualification does not assure the candidate an interview. Reference checks will be conducted for finalists. All materials in the applicant’s file become JUHSD property, will not be returned, and will be considered for this vacancy only.
