EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR (ESY) POSITIONS (SPECIAL EDUCATION) Extended School Year (ESY) applications are now being accepted for summer employment for Certificated and Classified personnel. Interested employees do NOT need to be working within Special Education to apply. However, if selected, will need to pass the exam and physical for the classification. ESY SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM DATES: • 4-week programs (ALL classes except “High School for Credit” class): 7/8/19 to 8/2/19 * Please note Pre-K Critical Skills and Pre-K Non-Severely Handicapped are Monday-Thursday programs and will end on 8/1/19 • 6-week program (“High School for Credit” Class): * Session 1: 6/20/19 to 7/12/19 (no school 7/4 and 7/5) * Session 2: 7/15/19 to 8/2/19 APPLICATION DEADLINES: If you are interested in obtaining a summer Extended School Year (ESY) assignment, please apply for this position by the following deadlines. • Applications received by February 28, 2019 – Will have first priority placement and all effort will be made to match site and program preferences. • Applications received between March 1-31, 2019 – Will be placed in accordance with the needs of the program, site and program preferences will be referenced but not guaranteed. • Applications received April 1, 2019 and after – Will be placed in accordance with the needs of the program.
