.CONDITIONS OF COMPETENCY: 1. Possession of valid first aid card. 2. Possession of valid CPR card. 3. Possession of valid driver's license. 4. Coaching theory and techniques - participation in organized competitive athletics in grades 7 - 12 or above in the sport to be coached. 5. Knowledge of rules and regulations of sport or activity. 6. Successful completion of a college-level course in adolescent psychology. 7. Personnel/payroll paperwork including fingerprint clearance. SUPERVISOR: Athletic Director and/or Principal DESCRIPTION OF PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Medical Category III: 1. Positions in this category require ability associated with prolonged periods of heavy physical labor. 2. Position regularly performs heavy physical labor requiring ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move heavy objects or materials. 3. Great physical demand for strength and endurance. 4. Requires heavy physical effort such as lifting over 50 pounds on continuous basis. 5. Physical functions involve heavy physical exertion. 6. Lifting over 50 pounds or carrying any object over 25 pounds.       Conditions of Competency: Coaching theory and techniques; participation in organized competitive athletics in the sport to be coached; knowledge or rules and regulations of sport or activity; successful completion of a college-level course in adolescent psychology; personnel/payroll paperwork, including fingerprint clearance. Selected candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results upon hire. Valid CPR certification and valid First Aid certification, CIF Coaching Certificate and Concussion certification will be required prior to employment. Duties: supervise, plan and implement practices. Attend all practices, games, and scheduled events. Certification in safety and coaching principles will be required. Demonstrate and maintain appropriate behavioral standards for athletes, and enforce disciplinary policies. Fall Sport. Off-season commitments include youth camps, fundraising, and mandatory meetings. Salary: Stipend per season.
