Our leadership provides students with progressive and engaging learning experiences, while facilitating collaboration that maximizes resources for school districts and the county alike. Our goal is to deliver educational excellence through responsible, cost-effective centralized services in order to meet regulatory and educational standards in a safe, successful, educational environment for all of our children. Requirements / Qualifications

EDCOE’s Charter Alternative Programs is looking for a talented individual to join our high-quality team as a Program Lead at Charter College & Career Prep (CCP). This program serves at-risk students in grades 7-12 who may have had difficulty finding success in a traditional school; however, the great majority of students enroll because of the quality of our alternative program. The Program Lead provides key academic, social, and behavioral support to students in a variety of ways, including ensuring that at-risk students and families are effectively linked with targeted assistance and support. The Program Lead works with the school administration to act as a liaison with governmental and community-based agencies - e.g., SARB, Probation, and counseling services - to help ensure that our students are successful academically and socially. CCP provides a rich curriculum that centers on engaging students with applied learning opportunities in a supportive, structured environment. Our modern, state-of-the-art facility features 10 classrooms rich with instructional technology, including Maker Space, Culinary Arts, Robotics, Wilderness Adventure, Art, and a Drone Operator’s course. Curriculum is centered on college and career readiness, while taking into account students’ individual needs and learning styles. Our school is located on the El Dorado County Office of Education campus in Placerville. We normally serve between 100 - 150 students.

Helpful Skills, Knowledge and or Abilities: Effectively organizes, sets priorities, follows written and oral instructions, analyzes situations, and adopts effective courses of action. Demonstrates initiative, communicates effectively, exercises good judgement, and builds and maintains positive relationships with stakeholders and staff. Knowledge and/or a background in working with schools and partnering agencies that support students. Basic writing and computer skills - e.g., able to effectively utilize the student information system after training; write basic letters and reports. Education: AA degree or equivalent and 12 ECE units preferred; experience as an instructor in child daycare or in an educational setting required. Experience: Prior job-related experience preferred.
