Since the late 1800s, Clay School has proudly served the Kingsburg community, building a long-standing tradition of excellence and high expectations. Clay School has earned recognition as both a California Distinguished School and National Blue Ribbon School, and in 2024 was named Niche’s #1 Public School in the Fresno, CA area. These honors reflect Clay’s commitment to its Vision Statement: One Community, One Goal: Exceed Expectations! The Clay Joint Elementary School District is supported by a team of experienced and dedicated staff, including 15 credentialed faculty members, 10 classified staff members, and three Governing Board trustees who proudly serve the Clay community. Students at Clay School are supported through high-quality learning environments and instruction delivered by appropriately credentialed educators in safe and well-maintained facilities. All students—including English Learners, students receiving Special Education services, Title I students, and students experiencing homelessness or foster care placement—have access to California Common Core State Standards-aligned English Language Arts and Mathematics instructional materials, research-based supplemental instruction, multi-tiered systems of support, and a broad course of study. Mission: The mission of the Clay Joint Elementary School District is to develop responsible, productive citizens with a passion for lifelong learning by providing a standards-based education in a safe and supportive learning environment. Through strong student and parent engagement and a committed professional staff, the District strives to create exceptional learning conditions that promote success and achievement for every student.
