Requirements for Applying

Materials
A 30 day Emergency Sub Teaching Permit.
A 30 day Emergency Sub Teaching Permit with a CBEST Waiver.
Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit for Prospective Teachers.
A California Teaching Credential - Multiple Subject, Single Subject or Educational Specialist.

30 day Emergency Teaching permit:
BA/BS or higher from an accredited college or university (verified by an official transcript).
Completion of the basic skills requirement (CBEST or Multiple Subject CSET) and completion of the appropriate Credentialing (CCTC) application 41-4. CBEST testing information is on line at www.cbest.nesinc.com.
Completion of the Livescan fingerprinting process for CCTC, total fee $66.00 ($32.00 DOJ / $19.00 FBI / $15.00 processing fee).
Payment of the required fees, currently $55.00 (fees are established by the CCTC).

This position is for a site in the state of Arizona.

As of January 1, 2004, there will be fees for fingerprinting services for any person applying for a substitute or temporary position with SJCOE. The fee for a Certificated Substitute/Temp is $47.00.
