	Description:	San Diego Unified School District Teacher Intern Programs presents an overview of elementary and secondary internships. The Intern Program provides an alternate means to earn a California Multiple Subjects (Bilingual) or Single Subject Credential. The internship is an “earn while you learn” program whereby interns teach during the day while completing coursework in the evenings and on occasional Saturdays. Individuals accepted into the program receive full-time beginning teacher salary and benefits. Multiple Subjects Credential Program - This program is specifically geared for individuals desiring placement in Biliteracy K-6 classrooms. Fluency is Spanish is a requirement for this program. Single Subject Credential Program – This program is specifically geared for those individuals desiring placement in grades 7-12 math or science classrooms. Prerequisites: 1) Bachelor’s Degree; 2) CBEST passing score; 3) CSET passing scores in three subtests: Multiple Subject Test Numbers 101, 102 and 103; or Single Subject Test Numbers 110, 111 and 112 (Math); or 118, 119, and 120 (Biology); or 118, 119, 121 (Chemistry); or 118, 119, 123 (Physics); or 118,119, 126 (Earth & Planetary) 4) US Constitution exam or coursework 5) CSET LOTE (Spanish) Test III, Oral Expression (required for multiple subject only)
