The CHOW is responsible for outreach to both the school and the community at large to promote the Wellness Program and its services. This outreach includes promotion of the Wellness Program to students, school staff, parents, and Community-based Organizations (CBOs). The CHOW is a member of the Wellness Program interdisciplinary team of staff, which includes a Wellness Coordinator (the Program Manager), a School District Nurse, a Behavioral Health Counselor, and several Masters-level student interns. This team collaborates to offer health and wellness services to students such as assessments, treatment and referrals for reproductive health, physical health, mental health, and substance use concerns.School term.
