Job Summary

Under the direction of Director of Student Services/Special Education, the Special Education Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating all activities for the department. The position is a full-time certificated staff member who will manage logistics and operations relative to the department. The Special Education Coordinator makes certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that planned provisions are followed under the direction of his/her supervisor. This role provides administrative support to the special education functions as needed, including record keeping, Individual Education Plan (IEP) file maintenance, system development, processing, and special education information system entry. The ideal candidate is in alignment with the District’s mission as a diverse community that collaborates to develop responsible, respectful, prepared students to achieve their full potential.
