Job Summary

The San Diego County Office of Education is seeking highly motivated, caring professionals to join our team at the original 6th Grade Camp, Cuyamaca Outdoor School. The residential outdoor education program, in operation since 1946, is located an hour east of San Diego in the 25,000-acre Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, elevation 4,000 feet. We connect children to science through nature in a weeklong, hands-on outdoor education experience. Our Team is outgoing, hard-working, energetic, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in children’s lives. SDCOE is recruiting to fill a vacancy for Registered Nurse, Outdoor Education in the Outdoor Education Program. Cuyamaca Outdoor School is located in the beautiful, 25,000 acre, Cuyamaca Rancho State Park in east San Diego County.

This position requires Education and Experience: A combination of training and experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge and abilities described in job description. Applicants must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Qualifying experience typically includes six (6) months of full-time R.N. experience. Certificates, Licenses, Credentials A current California Registered Nurse license is required and a copy must be attached to the online application. An original Registered Nurse license must be presented prior to appointment. Once employed, RNs are required to maintain their license. Possession of an American Red Cross CPR and First Aid/AED certificate. Valid California Driver’s License.


The results of this recruitment will be used to establish an eligibility list to fill the

current vacancies and any future vacancies for the next six months.
