The special education teacher builds trust and connection with all stakeholders around supporting students with specific learning needs. The special education teacher blends promising practices for supporting all learning in an interdisciplinary structure of a Project- Based Learning and Blended Learning Approach. The special education teacher inspires scholars to use academic language as a way to express their inherent creativity and understanding of the subject matter. The teacher candidate will be confident in modeling and reinforcing the fundamentals of writing, reading comprehension, diction and word application within all courses. AMA is committed to creating an environment that supports high quality instruction for all learners and the special education teacher plays a critical role in supporting the work for meeting that commitment. The Special Education Teacher will plan and provide for appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities. The Special Education Teacher will also be responsible for maintaining data and documentation related to special education services provided at Academy of Media Arts.
