Application packets must contain the following to be considered complete: EDJOIN Application Letter of Introduction Resume Three Professional Letters of Recommendation (must be dated and have a signature) Proof of Master's or advanced degree Credential authorizing services as a CA School Administrator (preferred) Copy of transcripts ***Incomplete application packets will be excluded from the screening process. If hired, must provide proof of CA driver's license. TENTATIVE INTERVIEW DATES: Saturday, March 27 and Sunday, March 28, 2021

          SELECTION PROCEDURE The Board will screen using the pre-described criteria during the screening, interviewing and final decision making process. The Board will select and interview the top candidates. A Superintendent Selection Advisory Committee will interview the candidates and report to the Board the strengths and weaknesses of each finalist. The Board will then interview all candidates and make a selection. The Board will take every measure possible to maintain confidentiality during this selection process. Any candidate who contacts a board member will be disqualified. Travel expenses will be the responsibility of the candidate. SELECTION CRITERIA The following criteria represent standards to be used in the valuation of candidates and in the selection of the Superintendent. Professional Experience Required: Minimum of five years of supervisory, administrative, or comparable experience Master's or advanced degree Credential authorizing services as a CA School Administrator is preferred Doctoral degree is preferred Strong background in all phases of secondary education is preferred Personal Skills: Highest moral, professional and ethical behavior Inclusive decision making skills that involve all stakeholders that motivates and supports a working environment where employees are comfortable to take risks Strong leader with both effective listening abilities and confident public speaking skills Efficient, with excellent organization, time management and follow-through skills Ability to assess situations and act with professionalism and common sense Professional Skills: Ability to develop and implement a vision/direction for the District Ability to promote academic standards and possessing a track record of producing measurable student achievement gains Expertise in administration at the site level, understanding the unique traits of a high school district Knowledge of characteristics of effective schools Experience in managing district funds and knowledge of Special Education Programs and technology Please note: This application process is through the Placer County Office of Education on behalf of the employer, the Roseville Joint Union High School District.
